This image is a small version of an illustration I am currently working on. It is based on a 1916 painting called, A Tale from the Decameron, by John William Waterhouse, an English painter famous for his paintings of women in scenes inspired by mythology and romantic literature. Storytelling, stories, and narrative play are long-held ethnographic interests. See About Me for more.

Welcome to My Site

This site showcases visual artifacts illustrating my work from at the Center for Advanced Research for Education, Intelligent Systems Division, Information Sciences Institute in the Viterbi School of Engineering at the University of Southern California. I worked there from 1998 - 2007. Since that time, I have served two years in Morocco as a Small Business Development volunteer for the US Peace Corps.

On this site, you can read more about my work, download copies of my Resume and Curriculum Vitae, browse through my USC Project Portfolio, view photographs and read some short fiction pieces. More writing samples (non-fiction) are coming.

Certain parts of this site may not work correctly with some browsers. Please use Mozilla Firefox, Opera, or Safari to view this site (all available as free downloads). I will be re-testing these issues in the next few weeks, as browser upgrades seem to have made their code systems more stable.

This site was originally built in 2007 with Spry widgets. Problems existed with IE 7, which prompted me to begin looking into using Flex. As of this writing, everything could change. There have been a few generations of new browser updates, that have become progressively more stable. If you experience a problem with the site, please contact me.
